Paloma’s base is a cántaro, the traditional Andalusian water jar, reworked by Pablo Tito as sculpture: given wings and finished in a high-gloss dark brown glaze. It comes from a five generation Úbeda workshop .

The shade is a custom version of Link, designed by Ray Power for LZF. Its bands of cream-white wood veneer loop and fold back on themselves, recalling the Möbius strip, a surface with a single continuous side. Lit, the veneer glows warm and shows its grain. Both halves of the lamp are made by hand in Spain, one in Andalusia and one in Valencia, conceived of and brought together by Amitābha Studio.

About Pablo Tito
Pablo Tito (Juan Pablo Martínez Sánchez, born Úbeda, 1975) is the third generation of a family of potters, trained by his father, Paco Tito, and his grandfather, Pablo Martínez Padilla, known as Tito. The family workshop on Calle Valencia in Úbeda keeps a Hispano-Arab kiln, one of the few still working in Spain. The Junta de Andalucía named him Maestro Artesano in 2019. He took first prize for traditional pottery at La Rambla’s international ceramics competition in 2019 and again in 2023, and he is included in the Homo Faber Guide of the Michelangelo Foundation.

About LZF and Ray Power
LZF was founded in Valencia in 1994 by Mariví Calvo and Sandro Tothill, and makes its wood veneer lighting by hand. The Irish-born designer Ray Power has worked with the company since 1998; Link, designed in 2007, received a Chicago Good Design award.
